Planning a Barcelona golf trip usually starts with the same question: how do you fit marquee courses, city culture, wine, and rest days into one holiday without it feeling rushed? This sample seven-day itinerary answers that question, and it’s built the same way we structure every golf package for clients travelling from North America and beyond.
Seven days is a deliberate length. It matches the reality of a long-haul flight from the US or Canada, giving you enough time on the ground to justify the trip while still leaving a working week free either side.
What follows is a realistic, day-by-day golf holidays Barcelona itinerary: three marquee course days, a dedicated rest and sightseeing day, and enough flexibility to swap in wine, spa, gastronomy or shopping wherever it suits your group. Treat it as a golf itinerary template rather than a fixed script. Barcelona Golf builds every trip around the traveller, not the other way round.
Day 1: Arrival and recovery in Barcelona
Land at Barcelona airport and take a private transfer straight to a central hotel. Spend the afternoon settling in with a short walk rather than a packed schedule, then head to Gràcia or Eixample for an early tapas dinner, the neighbourhoods locals actually eat in rather than the tourist strip along Las Ramblas.
Why this works: A long-haul arrival day is the wrong time for a full round. Easing in protects the golf that follows and gets you oriented in the city.
Day 2: Real Club de Golf El Prat
Morning tee time at Real Club de Golf El Prat, about 30 minutes from central Barcelona on its 518-acre estate in Terrassa. Lunch at the clubhouse, then a free afternoon back in the city. Before you tee off, our guide to todo lo que necesitas saber sobre el Real Club de Golf El Prat walks through the layout in more detail.
Why this works: El Prat is one of the shortest transfers of the week and one of the most storied clubs in Spain, so it’s a confident, low-friction way to open the golf.
Day 3: Rest and sightseeing day
A morning trip up to Montserrat, then an afternoon in La Boqueria market and the tapas neighbourhoods, are two of the best things to do in Barcelona beyond golf. No golf today, just the city and the mountains.
Why this works: Three golf days in a row wears out even keen golfers, and non-golfing partners need a day that isn’t built around a tee time.
Day 4: Transfer to Costa Brava via La Roca Village
Drive north toward Girona, stopping en-route at La Roca Village, sitting a short drive from Barcelona, for the VIP shopping experience we’ve arranged through our partnership there. Check into your Costa Brava hotel in the afternoon, then round off the evening with a wine tasting in the Empordà region as part of a golf and wine break.
Why this works: Turning a transfer day into a shopping and wine stop means nothing on this trip feels like dead time in a car.
Day 5: Camiral Stadium Course
A full day at Camiral Golf and Wellness, around an hour north of Barcelona and consistently rated among the best courses in Spain. In the afternoon, unwind with a treatment at the resort’s wellness centre, the same pairing behind our golf and spa breaks.
Why this works: This is the marquee round of the week; pairing it with the resort’s own spa means the day doesn’t have to end when the round does.
Day 6: Transfer to Costa Dorada
A straightforward drive south to the Costa Dorada, past Barcelona, to check into your hotel near the coast. Spend the afternoon at the beach or the hotel spa, then close the day with a gastronomy dinner built around Catalan cooking, exactly what our gastro golf breaks are centred on.
Why this works: A lighter, no-golf transfer day resets the pace before the week’s third marquee round.
Day 7: Infinitum Golf and a flexible finish
Play a morning or early-afternoon round at Infinitum Golf, spread across 45 holes over three Greg Norman-designed courses. From there it’s roughly 1 to 1.5 hours back to Barcelona for your departure or stay an extra night on the coast if your flight timing allows.
Why this works: Ending on a big, varied course gives the trip a strong close, and the short transfer back to Barcelona keeps departure day simple.
Making it 5 or 10 days instead
This itinerary is built to flex. Drop the Costa Dorada leg and you have a tight five-day Barcelona-and-Costa-Brava trip built around two marquee courses. Add a fourth region, extra rounds at each stop, or a second night at Camiral, and the same structure stretches comfortably to ten days without feeling padded.
