Barcelona Golf was founded in 2003 by Ian, a native of North Wales with a lifelong passion for golf. With a background in the Merchant Navy and over 25 years of living in Spain, Ian’s vision was clear: to combine his love of golf with the incredible culture, landscapes, and courses of Catalonia.
Since our beginnings, we’ve grown to become trusted specialists in the region, receiving accolades like ‘Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator’ at the 2018 World Golf Awards. Ian Denham
Originally from North Wales with a Merchant Navy background Ian has lived in Sitges near Barcelona since 1994 and is married to his Spanish wife, Isabel. He has played golf on and off since the age of 12, starting in Harpenden in the UK.
Ian started Barcelona Golf in 2003 and since then has welcomed thousands of golfers to Barcelona and other parts of Catalonia to play some of Europe’s great courses and sample some of the delights the region can bring. In 2022 Barcelona Golf received the accolade as Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator’ at the World Golf Awards.
Dani Perez
Born and raised in Terrassa (Barcelona), Dani studied Tourism and Hotel Management at the University of Girona and later studied a Master’s Degree in Commercial Management and Marketing.
After finishing his studies he worked at a hotel in Mallorca and later, for more than 10 years at the Resort La Mola & Real Club de Golf El Prat, before moving to PGA Catalunya (now Camiral Resort).
Dani is a keen golfer but also a lover of other sports such as football, squash and padel.
